Blinds and Shutters

There are a lot of people who think that the window blinds are just the covering elements for the windows. But they don’t realize that a nice and appropriate set of the blinds can make a dull room look alive and attractive. At present there are is a large range of window blinds which you can pick as per your room requirements. Blinds are very easy to change, more over they are cost efficient as well. You can do a lot of variations with your window blinds.

In order to fix a new blind, you need to make holes on the wall. These holes can be filed using a joint compound. These compounds come in different colors and are easily available in local hardware stores. If the hole made is on wooden surface, then you can choose the color which goes with it. But if the hole is on the painted area, then you can paint the compound in any color you want.Blue Window Blinds with lamp

Fixation of Shutters (outside)

While working with hard surfaces like stone or brick for installing shutters outside of the house, you need to have tools like hammer drill and a concrete masonry bit. As per the size of the shutters, you need to measure three to five inches wider then the size of window. It is done in order to allow the mounting of brackets which come with the shutters.

Now you need to attach the brackets to the casing of the window. You can even test the shutters and adjust the measurements as per your needs depending upon the type or kind of shutter you have. Make sure to test a shutter before making a hole.
